Berlin-based Daddy offers a platform for underrepresented voices tackling various forms of discrimination, but shared with wit and humour. Interviews, emails, personal essays and more emphasise the role of everyday individual voices in challenging racism, sexism and homophobia.
Issue four is The Power Issue, a theme met with some uncertainty by the editors as they planned the issue. ‘We wondered where Power would take us—and if we wanted to go there.’ They needn’t have worried, the response from their contributors is another collection of joyful photography (from Muhammad-Taha Ibrahim, Hanna Begić and David Ụzọchukwu), personal essays, illustrations and more, an uplifting experience centring voices often unheard.
