Milan, Italy (English language)
Bimonthly
Editor-in-chief: Gea Politi
Creative director: Alessio Avventuroso

Published since 1967, Flash Art is dedicated to writing and thinking about contemporary art.

Smaller in stature but with its usual heft, this Winter 2025/26 ‘z’ issue turns its attention to emerging creative talent in an era defined more by its refusal to be categorised than a commitment to a singular defining aesthetic. From editor-in-chief Gea Politi:

‘As we look at these emerging talents, we recognise that their practices embody a restless, fluid, and layered approach to art-making—an ongoing conversation across disciplines, generations, and worlds. This is the era we’re living in: one of constant motion, where the boundaries of time and identity shift daily, and every moment is an invitation to redefine what art can be.’

This issue’s Gen Z cover stories include the likes of Goldsmith graduate and cross-disciplinary artist Josiane M.H. Pozi and London-based photographer and Turner Prize nominee Rene Matić.
