Seize is a new title from the London creative scene that elevates the voices of independent artists and creators. It was cultivated in the fertile grounds for emerging artists at Central Saint Martins and was born out of the question: ‘What would happen if we started taking ourselves seriously?’
Initially a student project, the sophomore edition of Seize coincides with founders Lucy Siegler and Nataliya Belova’s transition to professional working life. Dedicated to the theme of ‘selling out’, the issue is organised around four main subheadings: ‘The Attention Economy’, ‘For Love Not Money’, ‘Playing the Game’ and ‘Second Shift’. Inside you’ll find interviews with young creatives, including Pilot editor-in-chief Dagny Tepper, photographer and stylist Nicole Alonso, fashion designer Mia Coco Chambers, photographer and Buzz app founder James Frost, and many more. Plus, features on being an artist in the age of AI, guilt and accepting creative opportunities, the cost of female fandom and internet trend inspired workwear.
