A new queer zine featuring erotic writing, photography and art, devoted to a diversity of sexual experiences. Pulp is inspired by London’s kink scene, lesbian pulp novels and the heyday of Playboy, and was born out of a frustration with the outdated and rigid frameworks within which sexuality is discussed.
This sophomore edition—now featuring an uber-glossy cover, underscoring the suggestive water droplets on the glistening cherry cover art—opens with an ode to the erotic magazine Temptress and an interview with its founder, Julie Poly. Elsewhere, readers can find an investigation into the ‘Raya-fication’ of London singles nights, a deep dive into the cultural impact of the iconic Mexican gay porn studio Mescos, and take lessons in leadership from the infamous dominatrix and educator Eva Oh. All this and more, alongside imagery by Lisa Wang and Ottilie Landmark, plus a pull-out sheet containing six graphic (in both senses of the word) stickers.
