‘A music community for those that dig deeper’

Created by a group of writers and record diggers and relaunched in 2021, Wax Poetics is a cult music mag featuring ‘trailblazers, cultures and stories that shape the sounds of yesterday, today, and beyond,’ spanning hip-hop, funk, techno, tropicalia, jazz, and more. As they put it, ‘whether you’re a record head, or just starting to explore your passion for music, you’ll find something here for you.’

This issue is another double-sided affair, featuring house music legend, DJ and producer Louie Vega on the front cover and 90s hip hop duo Mobb Deep on the back. With cover stories on both inside, you’ll also find features on Miami’s nightlife and Japanese jazz kissa gem ‘Dante’s HiFi,’ Motown singer and photographer Chris Clark, plus, interviews with 60s icon Lotti Golden, the godfather of electro Arthur Baker, record designer Mr. Krum, and more.
