Large-format Parisian fashion biannual Encens explores fashion’s lineage through a contemporary lens, treating fashion as an ‘art form from the perspective of designers rather than trends.’

This Spring/Summer 2026 issue, themed ‘Unlimited Blend: The Tale of Then and Now’, takes the 55th edition as its point of departure, exploring fashion across 1955, 1965, 1975 and 1985. Beginning with René Gruau’s drawings for Christian Dior and culminating in the present day with Giorgio Armani’s latest collection, the issue traces the evolution of style across the decades, posing the central question: ‘What if Encens had existed then?’
