‘The culture of play’
GamePop is a magazine that prides itself on being the first to showcase the intersection between video games and popular culture, featuring everything from fashion and music to film and sport. The magazine marks the first gaming focused print instalment of The Red Bulletin, a branded worldbuilding publication by Red Bull.
This inaugural issue is laden with colourful pages profiling Red Bull athletes, esports enthusiasts, and creatives such as content creator Emiru, video game designer Hideo Kojima, and YouTuber and Red Bull creator Ludwig Ahgren, alongside deep dives into the video game cinematic universe, a look at the brands and designers bringing gaming to the forefront of fashion, and an analysis of arcade typography.
Flip through stories that encourage direct engagement, including an interactive fiction column that runs across several pages and invites readers to craft a unique story, guided by a series of prompts.
