Noia #4

140 x 280 mm, 152 pages (open bound)
London, UK and Italy (English-language)
Biannual
Editor-in-chief: Megan Krahn
Creative director and graphic design: Lorenzo Bigatti

A self-identified ‘open and participatory’ publication, Noia offers a physical space for ‘creatives and thinkers to visually react to the complex problems of our contemporary times, both as individuals and as a society.’ Oh, and the name? It means ‘boredom’ in Italian.

Featuring photographers, writers, and artists from around the world, this fourth issue for 2025 is themed ‘Absurd Rituals’ and explores ‘the tension between the internal logic and external perception of (absurd) rituals’. From doomscrolling to democratic engagement, the issue includes a reflection on the implications of sophisticated generative AI on image auditing habits, a consideration of the spatial politics and environmental ramifications of golf,  Kim Kardashian’s advice for a ‘balanced’—and highly unrealistic—lifestyle and a collection of poetry on self-contemplation.
