‘Celebrating Modern Printmaking’

A popular magazine exploring the vast and varied world of printmaking and inky-ness; spotlighting artists, presenting interviews, visiting studios and more. Always packed with sample works, it’s an inspiration to beginners and old hands alike.

Issue 34 explores how small changes in printers’ processes or approaches can transform the visual language of their work. It’s packed with printers ‘who are seeking out new, creative terrains with their artworks and projects,’ from accidental imperfections in printed lettering that open the door to unexpected but welcomed discoveries to site-specific cyanotype prints that raise awareness about climate change.

Featured artists include:
Katherine Jones
George Quiney
Hannah Perrine Mode
Marcos Mello
Ellis Dublanc
Simon and Angie Lewin
Kristen McClarty
& more

On the Journal
At Work With John Coe: ‘I first came to printmaking via my first magazine, Boneshaker which was about cycling, but we worked with illustrators to create screenprints to sell online and at bike shows. I designed one myself and had a go at printing it too and I loved the hands-on side of turning a design that had been made on a computer into a tactile print.’
