A magazine concerning the ‘politics of space and bodies’, which along with its podcast and blog, is building an archive for anti-colonial, anti-racist, queer, and feminist struggles. Now published in English, French, and Spanish (we have the English version).
In this latest issue for July/August 2026, The Funambulist examines the binary concept of the ‘Global South’. Reflected in Guyanese artist Johanna Mirabel’s cover artwork, which visually splits a lush living room scene in two, this edition challenges the idea of the south as a singular, homogenous identity, defined only in relation to its western counterpart, the ‘Global North’.
