Shoot the Lobster Quarterly is a new editorial project from the New York branch of Shoot the Lobster gallery.
Dreams take centre stage in this Summer 2026 edition, featuring written accounts of artists’ dreams—spanning mythical centaurs, tarot cards, and even a mention of Waitrose—embellished with illustrations from the artists, and accompanied by dream analyses by psychoanalysts. Elsewhere, readers can expect a series of tributes to late artist Jason Metcalf—aka L, or Lazarus—renowned for his bewitching sculptures, plus the editors sit in conversation with curator Ebony L. Haynes to discuss her practice and creative partnership with Metcalf.
Elsewhere, leaf to the back of this edition for a series of short stories and poetry, and a selection of Greek recipes courtesy of writer Mina Stone, including rose water, clementine olive oil cake, and a cherry ouzo sour.
