Exploring contemporary art, photography and high-end fashion, each issue of Tide takes two opposing but complimentary ideas and delves into their duality (like the ebb and flow of the tide), as represented by its split-image cover design.
This eighth issue takes ‘Delusion & Grace’ for its theme, asking first, how delusional is our world? And second, how do individual and collective forms of grace keep us moving forward? It’s fair to say Delusion overwhelms Grace in the issue, leading with artist Erwin Wurm interviewed at the site of his Venice Biennale installation ‘Dreamers’ (the colour cover image comes from that story.) Belgian fashion designer Kegel adds some Grace as she reveals the secret of her recent success as an LVMH Prize finalist.
