‘Dedicated to emotional exploration’
Combining slow fashion, art and conversations on mental health, each issue of the small-format and introspective Tummy Ache is dedicated to exploring a single emotion through essays, interviews, poetry and more, with the aim of challenging ‘a culture of emotional stagnation.’
This is the Lonely issue, and given the scale of loneliness (almost 25% of Britons consider themselves lonely) it’s their biggest issue yet. Expect longstanding issues like grief, as well as the contemporary challenges posed by social media and AI companionship.
Interviewees this time: Celia Paul, Bradley Zero, Nathanael Williams, Joe Bloom, Haseeb Iqbal, Samra Mayanja, Karly Hartzman, Lally MacBeth, Marianne Brooker, Gerald Butler, Angela Christofilou.
