Regular readers will know how much we enjoy The Fence for its journalism, humour and general tone of voice. But what about the design? Art director Mathias Clottu talks us through the new issue discussing the magazine’s typography, its monochrome front cover, and the difficulty of keeping things simple.
Today marks 10 years since the magCulture Shop opened its doors for the first time. Jeremy Leslie looks back at the origins of the shop, and compares the physical presence of the IRL space with the tangible benefits of printed magazines.
15 years ago, the first issue of Delayed Gratification appeared in shops, promising to take advantage of the slowness of print to reflect on current affairs, and be, in their words, ‘Last to breaking news.’ We look back on those 15 years with co-founder Rob Orchard as issue 60 of the magazine is published.
