magCulture x citizenM talks
For our second evening at citizenM, we’ll hear from four editors creating literary titles that champion great writing and succeed in transporting us to new places without leaving our homes.
Seb Emina, editor-in-chief, The Happy Reader
Suze Olbrich, editor, Somesuch Stories
Megan Conery and Molly Taylor, editors, Hotdog
The three talks will be followed by a discussion chaired by magCulture’s Jeremy Leslie.
About our speakers:
Seb Emina is editor-in-chief of The Happy Reader, a bookish magazine of two halves created in 2014 by Penguin Classics and Fantastic Man. He is also deputy editor of Fantastic Man, author of The Breakfast Bible, and a regular-ish contributor to magazines and newspapers such as The Guardian, FT and The Gentlewoman. Originally from London, Seb now lives in Belleville, Paris.
Suze Olbrich is a London-based freelance journalist covering culture, food and travel for the likes of The Guardian, AnOther, Riposte and Under The Influence. She has been editor of Somesuch Stories since its inception in 2014 as an online project. The magazine offers original insight into contemporary experiences of culture, nature, sex and society.
Megan Conery and Molly Taylor run Hotdog magazine, a playful and political annual poetry publication that showcases sharp new writing and art made by women in a print design that's inspired by the internet. They’ve published two issues to date.
