meet… Mushpit
For the third edition of magCulture Meets we are thrilled to be joined by Bertie Brandes and Char Roberts from Mushpit as they celebrate the launch of their eighth issue.
Mushpit issue seven
Founded back in 2011 by a then bored fashion writer and bored stylist, the girls found inspiration in the pages of Cheap Date and Adbusters and decided to create their own London-centric alternative mag. Five years on and Mushpit has grown into a no holds barred, witty, satirical, sassy publication that features the work of the capital’s most interesting and political artists, photographers and designers.
Tonight Bertie and Char will introduce the latest issue and talk about their mag-making journey to date. Issue eight will be available at a special discount and the beers as ever, will be on us! Plus we’ll be distributing a unique Mushpit postcard to mark the occasion.
Doors opens at 6.30pm and the talk will kick off at 7pm. Tickets are extremely limited for this event.
magCulture Meets… is a new monthly talk series. Each evening will provide the opportunity to share a beer with fellow magCulturalists and hear a magazine-maker discuss their project in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.
