Meet the speaker: Terry Jones
This year’s magCulture Live, London celebrates independent magazines, and today we highlight Terry Jones, founder of the original indie, i-D.
Terry was art director at British Vogue when he was inspired by post-punk London street style. The result was i-D, initially a self-published black and white fashion zine launched as a hobby alongside his commerical work.
Last month we spent a day filming with Terry as he talked about the early days of his i-D, its development over the last 40 years and sale to Vice. We learn about his design inspirations, love for process, and his team creative ethos.
The 30m film will be shown at magCulture Live for the first time, followed by a live Zoom Q&A with Terry.
