‘A digest dedicated to all things creative, experimental, and authentic’

One of the many excellent things about Dagny Tepper’s Pilot is the fact that no two issues have ever looked alike—the format is ever-changing and this latest puzzle-esque edition of the cultural compendium does not disappoint. Complete with instructions and perforated guides, the large format pages are designed to be torn, folded and transformed—making for an all-around wonderfully-tactile experience.

Themed ‘You Are Here’ this edition questions: ‘Is it always necessary to be present?’ and ‘When can escapism offer clarity?’ Inside, a personal account from Valerie Estrina recalls how, through radical acceptance, she unshackled herself from a lingering degree of ‘terminal despair’, a witness account of excessive iPhone photography is documented on camcorder by Wally Waliszewiski, and Egyptian-American comedian Kareem Rahma—of ‘SubwayTakes’ fame—sits down to discuss his work, waiters in New York City, and bemoans being over-intellectualised.

Plus, a playlist curated for this edition, top book and film picks from the editorial team, poetry from Kellen Rear, and an homage to community radio.
