'Dedicated to contemporary art and fashion'

A brand new, two-volume chunk of a publication, Beyond Noise is something of a cultural artefact. The first half is largely visual and fashion-oriented, the second is where its editorial offerings lie. Interestingly, this jam-packed inaugural issue opens with a manifesto penned by conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall who shares why she feels hopeful about the future (despite it all).

Split into sections 'Noise, Voices, Signal, Beyond', inside you'll find 'a deep dive into Azzedine Alaïa’s archive; op-eds by Sarah Mower, Joan Juliet Buck, Nada Alic, and Mindy Seu; a feature on punk metamorphosis; rewilding efforts in Patagonia by Laurence Ellis; original fiction; and more.'

Featuring photography by Mario Sorrenti, Craig McDean, Juergen Teller, Malick Bodian, Larissa Hofmann, Gray Sorrenti, Mélanie + Ramon, and Sam Taylor-Johnson. Cover stars include New York Times chief fashion critic Vanessa Friedman, Ayo Edebiri (photographed by Tyler Mitchell), Vittoria Ceretti (by Zoe Ghertner), plus new work from Catherine Opie. Each copy features two covers – one per volume.
