‘Contemporary global (un)conscious’
Initially founded in 2009, the publishing house and creative agency Provence presents their latest editorial project, Provence: Unconscious. Filtered through a Jungian lens, the issue explores the theme of ‘the collective unconscious’ in relation to contemporary art, psychoanalysis and fashion.
With a focus on dreams, the team at Provence invited friends of the magazine, including artists, editors and analysts, to provide a single page response to the theme. Responses are varied, ranging from abstract paintings to dashed out musical notations. The issue also features the likes of actor Pamela Anderson; artists Delcy Morelos, Matt Mullican and Laura Langer; Valerie Smith on multi-disciplinary artist Mike Kelley; psychoanalyst Stefano Carpani; and poet Leda Bourgogne.
