Wetware is a new zine covering the intersection between digital fashion and academia.
This loosely bound second edition follows a pink colour scheme, with pockets of glossy paper stock showcasing imagery woven throughout. It is devoted to the impermanence of digital fashion, which editor Vera van Nuenen defines as: ‘Garments designed and experienced mainly through screens.’
Inside, a deep dive from Nuenen explores the contrasting longevity and cultural cachet dividing print and digital fashion media, a magazine archive reimagines digital fashion in print through the use of colour-edited film negatives, and an interview with Edoardo Ferrari delves into his research investigating Nordic fashion magazines at the International Library of Fashion Research in Oslo.
