Promising a more cerebral (and arguably very particular) approach to the world of cinema, A Rabbit’s Foot is led by producer, writer, and filmmaker Charles Finch.
A Rabbit’s Foot’s 16th issue explores the symbiotic relationship between film and fashion, featuring two covers to choose from: a solemn black and white portrait of Willem Dafoe in a staged film shoot, titled ‘The Chameleon’, and a BTS shot of Kendall Jenner—paragon of 21st century performance art—adorned in head to toe Bottega Veneta. It’s a star-studded issue, opening with an interview with Oscar-winning British director Danny Boyle ahead of the 2026 Venice Film Festival premiere of ‘Ink’, his eagerly awaited Rupert Murdoch biopic starring Guy Pearce and Jack O’Connell, followed by a conversation with Spanish auteur Pedro Almodovar on the ‘muses and mujeres’ at the centre of his cinematic universe. Women also take centre stage in a conversation with Hannah Einbinder, which sees the ‘Hacks’ breakout star discuss her role in Jane Schoenbrun’s indie queer slasher ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’. Also featured: legendary fashion photographer Collier Schorr, British playwright Hanif Kureishi, and a trio of essays paying homage to ‘Style Icons’ of the silver screen.
And the name? Glad you asked. It comes from an Ernest Hemingway book, ‘For luck you carried… a rabbit’s foot in your right pocket… the claws scratched in the lining of your pocket and you knew your luck was still there.’
