Aapne is a new zine offering a glimpse into British Pakistani ‘youth and delinquency’ from the noughties onwards, comprising images mined from long forgotten corners of the internet—from inactive Facebook accounts to YouTube rap videos. Meaning ‘one of us’ in Punjabi/Pothwari, Aapne follows youth culture in inner cities across the country—‘crime, cars, gang signs and questionable haircuts run rampant.’
