FAW—an abbreviation of ‘Feel Alive Wandering’—is a new independent magazine, ‘celebrating curiosity for adventure and connection’. Inside, you’ll find a series of personal photo stories spanning a variety of outdoor activities, from surfing and skateboarding, to cycling and skiing, with a focus on the different ways in which time spent outdoors can be life-enriching.
Issue two is dedicated to ‘the love of outdoor recreation’, centring the lessons, memories and bonds that endure long after the adventure is over. The cover image for this sophomore edition is courtesy of Bruno Mckay and Rikke Haughem, taken from their ‘Perfect Days’ diary, narrating a three month bikepacking expedition across Europe. Elsewhere, two Swedes discover a new appreciation for home following a festive ski trip; Chase Anderson shares a selection of cover images from the Outdoor Recreation Archive, an invaluable resource for budding outdoor industry innovators; and the duo behind documentary production company Fielder Films discuss the making of their ‘Island X’ sequel.
