‘A summoning of ancient terrors’

Named for the poisonous plant and mythical ingredient for witch’s flying ointment, Hellebore is a spooky little zine dedicated to British folk horror and the occult. The pen-and-ink botanical illustrations combined with a haunted pastoral design are reminiscent of the Wicker Man meets Victorian nature guides, while its compact size makes it a pocket grimoire for any aspiring mystical enthusiast.

The ‘Mystery’ issue leads the reader across Britain to examine ‘questions of our own existence, the depths of our subconscious mind, the lure of the unknown, the transience of our civilisation, and the power of silence to unleash our inner force.’ Expect ruined temples, living myths, ritual performances, riddles and enigmas, Medieval mystics, a gas-lit world of secret societies and energy grids, psychedelic revivals, and sonic experiments in the City of the Dead.
