MacGuffin's 11th issue is centered around the chain, exploring the surprisingly wide-ranging cultural implications of chains of all sizes – celebrating the decorative and functional as well as assessing our (often complex) relationship with the darker stuff: cage-fighting, horror films and multi-car pileups. Togetherness and connective technology also fall into the chain category, making this issue – in the words of editor Kirsten Algera – 'the ultimate post-pandemic MacGuffin'.
