‘A magazine about life and play’

This newspaper-sized publication—the pages open up to A1—is published by Pop Mart, the Chinese toy company behind the Labubu keyring collectibles. It’s a big, bold, graphically strong piece of print that celebrates analogue and real life experiences.

Subtitled ‘The Childish Issue’, this latest edition explores the parameters of childishness, delving into childlike traits, why the word is weaponised as an insult, and the radical potential inherent in harnessing childishness as ‘a creative operating system and a cheat code for life.’ The cover, which also doubles as a fold-out poster, stars musician Ouyang Nana, who can be found in conversation with Lv Yanni inside, delving into growing up on camera, learning the cello, and her secret to happiness.

Also included: A red viewfinder to discover the magazine through a tinted lens.
