This fourth volume for 2026 is themed ‘Better’, with contributors tasked with contemplating ‘what may be better’. For editor Josh Hickey, it’s ‘a choice of radical optimism and radical compassion’—a fundamentally human drive to keep going, even when the odds are not in our favour. Featured contributors include American visual artist Barbara Kruger—a key figure of the Pictures Generation—Chechen poet and translator Jazra Khaleed, the late English photographer Joan Leigh Fermor, Polish multidisciplinary artist Katarzyna Korzeniecka, and pioneering Greek curator and founder of ‘Hydra School Projects’ Dimitrios Antonitsis, amongst many others.
