magCulture Meets Fare
For our first magCulture Meets of the year, we’re pleased to announce Fare magazine will be joining us at the magCulture Shop.
To coincide with the launch of the second issue, editor Ben Mervis will be talking us through his magazine which examines a city’s culture through food, history and community. Following on from the first issue’s deep dive into Istanbul, issue two’s focus is Helsinki, with pages dedicated to the capital’s old-school restaurants, Karelian bakeries and the orange tents of Helsinki’s market squares where famous breakfasts and apple-mash doughnuts can be found.
Fare lets a city’s locals do the talking and presents the backstreets, forgotten histories, local institutions and lesser explored neighbourhoods in a way that showcases the destination’s culinary scene with vitality. Get a taste for the magazine by listening to audio from our citizenM food mag event which took place last summer, then book your ticket.
As ever, the evening will see an illustrated talk followed by an audience Q&A.
