‘The world overheard’
Translator is the new magazine of journalism and reportage from around the world, translated into English, for the open minded and the language-curious. Produced by a small team in London in collaboration with an international network of journalists, writers, translators and photographers, it brings together translated long-form reportage, original writing about the word on the street in cities around the world, criticism, reviews and more.
This is the third issue we’ve designed and art-directed here at the magCulture Studio, and we are thrilled to share it with you!
Inside, find stories of gaming in Hungary, digitising Urdu texts in Pakistan, Korean school pressures, Chinese shamans, and a truly shocking story of medical abuse of women in Romania. All accompanied by an international range of commissioned illustrations.
Plus, test your lingo with Translator’s multilingual crossword.
