ModMagNYC update

Join us on Wednesday 29 May for the second ModMagNYC, presented by magCulture in collaboration with Parsons School of Design and AIGA NY.

Have you booked your ticket yet?

Hear top magazine makers share their work and experience, and address our theme, What is a ‘Magazine’ today? at our annual celebration of editorial creativity.

You’ll hear how a magazine can be a live show, can be online-only, can be a rabble-rousing newspaper, can mark history, can be an object, can be a surprise, an open door… Our publication about the day, free to attendees, sets the tone with responses to the phrase, ‘A magazine is…’ from each speaker.

As well as illustrated talks from leading creatives behind New York magazine, The New Yorker, The Gentlwoman and others, we’re presenting the New York premiere of ‘94 (8,o0o One-Offs)’, the documentary about Eye magazine’s project to design a different cover for each individual copy of its 94th issue. And at lunchtime there’s the chance to join a magazine-handling session featuring remarkable magazines that will have you pondering, ‘Is that a magazine?’

This is a don’t-miss event for anyone interested/intrigued by current editorial developments.
