Initially a print and bookbinding workshop, Neutral Colours is now supplemented with an annual independent magazine with a focus on hand craft. Expect a blend of thoughtful photography, vibrant riso-printed pages and moving, global stories.
This sixth issue is titled ‘Stay’, quietly nodding to the connections we form with people, places and things when we reside with them over a long period of time. Inside, the photographer Selji Okumiya reflects on time spent in the company of Derek Jarman at his beloved Prospect Cottage in Dungeness; Phong Doc opens up his bedroom as a respite reading room for the residents of Ho Chi Minh City; plus, the artist Yutaro Sudo contributes a powerful photo story, documenting the life of Palestinian animal-lover Reta—a friendship that blossomed over Instagram DMs.
