Photographer Marcus Patrick Brown has just published the fourth issue of Picnic, featuring a new design and larger format. ‘Food is delicious,’ he tells us, ‘but really, it’s the least interesting thing to talk about and photograph.’ Instead, Picnic focuses on the people behind the food—the chefs and restaurateurs.

Our April Magazine of the Month is London-based Scenic Views, the interiors magazine that celebrates the overlooked and forgotten. This issue sees it really hitting its stride, encouraging the reader to question the relevance of novelty teapots, consider the design of our care homes, and evaluate Stu Mead’s boundary-testing paintings. 

The days are getting longer, the weather’s warming up, and a new issue of The Gentlewoman is on our shelves. It must be Spring! To mark this happy shift, we asked the magazine’s editor-in-chief Penny Martin and new art director Merel van den Berg to talk us through five key moments from its pages.

Built on the reputation of a Berlin analogue photography shop/lab, it asks, who needs Photoshop?

We meet Joe Richards, who has just published the second issue of his large-format photography magazine M-A (A Space Between). The gorgeous, tactile publication presents uninterrupted, full-bleed visual stories from emergent and established photographers. He tells us about the magazine and his working week.
