When we consider AI and publishing, the focus is usually on the effect of the technology on production. But we’ve also seen a series of magazines about AI appearing, the latest being Godmothers, which sits at the intersection of women, ethical AI, and technology. Founder Claire Belhassine tells us more.
Different Leaf first appeared in 2019 as one of a stream of magazines reflecting the newly liberal cannabis laws in some US states. Now that market has matured, founder Michael Kusek has relaunched the magazine, aiming to look more broadly at how cannabis influences culture and how culture influences cannabis.
As we make final preparations for this weekend’s magCulture Fair, we meet one of the international publishers taking part. Sarah Ingram will be flying in from Los Angeles with copies of her magazine Art Bar, about which she tell us, ‘We are trying to learn about artist’s lives and how it influences their work and process.’
